Low-Maintenance
In NEXMØLEN wind turbines, we have reduced the maintenance costs; they have minimum moving parts, and we have thought the best and easiest solutions to reach out to these moving parts, such as bearings and seals, in case of check-ups and maintenance services.
Electronic Control Design
For NEXMØLEN products, an advanced Electronic Control System have been designed. This unit has a Modular, Distributed and Scalable architecture, and it is going to control and optimize the performance of turbine using AI, and will reduce the servicing costs significantly
Active Pitch Control Mechanism
In NEXMØLEN, we have designed a simple, compact and reliable Pitch Control Mechanism. Universal joint, Arms and Servomotor are the main components of this innovative mechanism which made it possible to be used in V-shaped large-scale VAWTs. This innovation is a key advantage for our product in the market, which would make a significant difference with other competitors.
Strut Design
In common VAWTs, a considerable amount of power is being wasted because of the Struts. In the NEXMØLEN, two dominant and innovative configurations have been designed for the structure and airfoil of Struts, which led to reduce the power loss, and lightening the Rotor.
Efficient and Reinforced Blades
In the NEXMØLEN, the blades have been twisted mechanically (or aerodynamically) in order to optimize the Angle-of-Attack along the blades regarding its V-Shaped design, which leads to more power in comparison to the other V-Shaped turbines. In addition, we have implemented a new and innovative method to reinforce holes on the flange areas of Blades and Struts without the need to damage the fiber by drilling. This innovation would extend the life-time of the composite parts.


Lighter Rotor with Blade Supports
In one of NEXMØLEN rotor designs, the Blade Supports have been added in order to reduce the mechanical stress on Blades. As a result, the weight of the Blades has been reduced to one third in this config, which it has just three Struts. Meanwhile, the Carbon Fiber has been replaced with E-Glass Fiber, while the rotor designed life has exceeded the 25 years. This innovation leads to considerable cost reduction, and improvement in mechanical and aerodynamic performance of the rotor, and it gives it superiority in the competitive market.
