WHO WE ARE?
ABOUT US
The total global installed capacity of Small Wind Turbines is estimated at approximately 1.8 GW (Orrell et al., 2021), which the minimum value of this capacity is approximately equal to €5b, and considering the global warming and its critical impact on the environment, this market is expected to grow at a strong CAGR during the forecast period (2023-2050). In order to enter this market, we studied the main players and challenges ahead of this market at the first phase. Surely, being cost-effective, and delivering reliable and proven products and services to this market are main keys to have a successful business. Then, we researched and learned about many different wind turbine types and their pros and cons. At the next phase, after sketching some conceptual designs and evaluations, we selected two initial rotor designs. The aerodynamic simulations and CFD analysis performed in order to investigate and optimize the performance and efficiency of the different rotor features. Meanwhile, high-efficient and compatible Generator, and other main components, such as Tower and Braking System were designed.

After forming the concept, we managed to construct and test several prototypes of our initial designs. We have developed and finalized two configurations for the rotor, one with six struts without blade supports (Config. 1), and one with three struts and six blade supports (Config. 2) that both of them are V-shaped. Each one of this configs has its particular advantages, and we are going to introduce the Config. 1 to the market first. In early 2024, we teamed up a new Start-up team with combination of marketing, technical and production experts, the “NEXMØLEN” team. In this start-up we intent to use our experiences and knowledge to enter Small-Scale Wind Turbine market with unique products. Our main product is a new brand wind turbine with an optimized design from mechanical, electrical, and economical point of view. NEXMØLEN wind turbines would produce renewable electricity with more reliability, efficiency and safety, and less costs.
